The Avalanche Review (TAR) is a trade and scientific journal published four times every winter by the American Avalanche Association. It has served A3 membership and the greater snow science and avalanche community since 1982. TAR articles address advances in forecasting, control techniques, education, and research. Contributors provide balanced content in areas like rescue dogs, search methods, equipment, mitigation, and accident reports, along with related general-interest and timely news facing the profession.
